Keystart has just updated its property price and income limits — and it could open the door for more buyers across WA.

If you’ve been sitting just outside the criteria, this is worth a second look.

What’s changed?

  • Property price cap: now up to $860,000 (previously $800,000)
  • Income cap: now $155,000 for singles (up from $148,000) or  $228,000 for families (up from $218,000)

These changes apply across both metro and regional WA.

So, what does this actually mean for you?

You might now qualify when you previously didn’t
If your income was just over the limit before, there’s a good chance you’re now back in the mix.

You’ve got more realistic options
With property prices where they are, the higher cap gives you more breathing room — meaning less compromise on location or home size.

It’s not just a Perth thing
These updates apply across WA, so whether you’re looking metro or regional, the opportunity has widened.

You could move sooner than planned
For some buyers, this might mean bringing plans forward instead of waiting months (or years) to save more.

Here’s what our Managing Director, Adam Schaal, has to say:

Keystart can be a great option, but it’s not one-size-fits-all, and the fine print matters.

If you’re not sure where you land, we can walk through your numbers with you and see if this actually opens a door.
